The North Face® Spring/Summer 2016 Ultra Series The ultimate all-terrain running and hiking footwear for those who revel in discovery

In Spring 2016, The North Face® is excited to launch a two brand new silhouettes in the Ultra Series– the brand’s pinnacle footwear collection for trail running and hiking footwear. With this launch, brand introduces two new silhouettes, The Ultra Endurance for trail runners, and the Ultra Fastpack II GTX for hikers.

 

The Ultra Endurance is the ultimate companion for the longest runs in the trails. It ensures excellent comfort through a breathable, lightweight mesh upper, and provides best in class protection thanks to the molded TPU toe cap. The FlashDry™ collar lining prevents blisters while keeping your feet dry and ventilated. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole gives you unrivalled traction and stability through a variety of trail conditions. EVA midsole offers comfort and support, while the ESS Snake Plate™ distributes impact and protects feet from stone bruising on the rockiest and sharpest of trails.

 

Meanwhile, The Ultra Fastpack II GTX is a durable, protective, and lightweight hiking shoe that offers the speed of a running shoe. The GORE-TEX® upper protects feet from weather and muddy trails without sacrificing breathability, and its toe and heel protection are welded to reduce weight. Embedded cables in the upper and Vibram® Megagrip outsole provide additional traction and support to keep you stable and grounded even on the most uneven trails. Updated CRADLE™ technology gives you wide-ranging support, and the CRADLE GUIDE™ midsole adds cushioning and support for faster movements. It is the perfect balance of performance and protection, so you can enjoy maximum miles with minimum effort and time.

To introduce explorers around the world to the new Ultra Endurance and Ultra Fastpack II GTX, The North Face® will be hosting a series of events across Europe where consumers will get a chance to go on a hike or run with The North Face athletes, and test out the new footwear. Aside from these events, the annual The North Face® Lavaredo Ultra Trail (June 24^th, 2016- June 25^th, 2016) at Cortina D’Ampezzo in the Dolomites will also be a platform where select trail runners, hikers, and outdoor lovers around the world will get a chance to test out the new Spring/Summer 2016 Ultra Series. The challenging, rocky, and ever-changing terrain of the Dolomites provides an excellent setting for testing the traction, flexibility, and durability of Ultra Series.  In addition, select consumers and runners will have an opportunity to meet The North Face® trail runners, Jez Bragg, Fernanda Maciel, Mike Foote, and Rory Bosio, who are competing in the 119km race.
