Gigaset introduces its new DECT IP multicell system N870

Scalability for any organisation based on one single hardware product

Gigaset, provider of professional communications solutions for small and medium sized organisations, introduces the new multicell system N870 IP. The core element of the system is the N870 device, which can act as base station, DECT Manager and Integrator. The solution serves small installations as well as large and multiple sites with one central administration. The N870 offers security with SRTP/TLS and is compatible with leading European platforms.

Perfect for multi-site scenario’s

The new N870 IP is based on the well-known Gigaset Software Architecture, to ensure easy implementation and maximum compatibility with other products from the Gigaset range for professional business communications. The product is perfectly suitable for multi-site scenarios, even in various countries. Acting as a base station and/or DECT manager, the N870 supports one single zone with up to 250 users, 60 base stations and 60 parallel calls. Each satellite handles up to 10 simultaneous calls. End users benefit from flexibility, seamless handover and roaming, HD audio and LDAP(S) corporate phonebook. The system also offers a uaCSTA connection (User Agent Computer Supported Telecommunications Applications) for Computer Telephony Integration (CTI). With help of xhtml applications, end users can also build their own applications and add them to the system.

Fast and easy set-up

The N870 IP offers easy set-up for both end users and resellers. They find the best possible location for the satellites of the product by using the Gigaset DECT Measurement Kit. The N870 also offers professional zero-touch auto provisioning set-up and IPUI based handset registration. The intuitive web based interface with online help, XML based configuration files, phone system profiles and support of standard protocols make configuration extremely easy and fast.

The N870IP will exclusively be available via authorised distributors and certified resellers in Q4 2018. Since the system can act as base station, DECT Manager and Integrator, businesses need only one type of hardware to create a multicell environment with the N870IP. Therefore the order process for distributors and resellers is simple. They can have one type of appliance, including one single article number for Europe, in stock to mix and match their own solutions.
