Nicolas Vidal appointed as new VP Sales for The North Face EMEA
The North Face, the world’s premier supplier of authentic, innovative and technically advanced outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear, announces that Nicolas VIDAL has been newly appointed as VP Sales The North Face EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa).
As VP Sales The North Face EMEA reporting directly to Arne ARENS VP/General Manager The North Face EMEA, Vidal will be responsible for defining and executing the sales strategy for the wholesale business across all categories in the EMEA market. Upon Vidal’s appointment, Arens stated: “With Nicolas’ international experience and solid commercial experience, he will contribute to our strategic goals of doubling our business and market share in EMEA over the next five years.”
Based in VF International’s corporate headquarters in Lugano, Switzerland, Vidal heads a strong strategic team of area and country sales managers driving The North Face sales initiatives within the EMEA region. “I am very excited to join The North Face, the leading Outdoor brand. There are many great opportunities across the different geographical regions of Europe. I am looking forward to working together with our team and retail partners to make The North Face the undisputed Number One outdoor brand in Europe.” commented Vidal.
In a notable career, Frenchman Vidal has built up significant multicultural commercial experience having lived in various countries including France, the UK, Ireland, and the US. Joining after a three-year stint at Asics, Vidal had previously spent 14 years at Nike Europe gathering solid commercial experience at local and regional levels as Head of Apparel for 11 years, and Commercial Director for North and Central Europe. In the early stages of his career, Vidal also experienced two years at Decathlon as apparel department manager.
A sports fanatic in any season, Vidal is a keen skier, runner and outdoors enthusiast. Vidal relocates from the Netherlands to Lugano with his family.
