Retarus shows healthy growth across the globe
Strong demand for cloud messaging services
The Retarus Group has reported growth of 11.4% in turnover for Cloud Messaging Services across the globe for the first half of the fiscal year starting 1 June 2014 in comparison to the same period the previous year. One of the drivers of the increased turnover is a consistent focus on larger medium-sized companies and global enterprises.
Retarus, the global provider of cloud services for email, fax, SMS and EDI, has achieved growth of 11.4% – far exceeding that of the market average and relevant competitors providing cloud messaging services. The worldwide growth in the ITC sector for 2014 has been calculated at 4.1% by the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO). Retarus has continued to build on the strong gains made over the previous year, boosted especially by remarkable growth at US subsidiary Retarus Inc. of 45.2% against the previous year.
For the European ITC market, the industry association BITKOM expects growth of 0.1% for 2014. The EU-wide prognosis has been set at 1.6%. According to the “Cloud Monitor 2014” study by the industry body, the use of cloud services for business is continuing to rise.
“The continued increase in our above-average growth reflects the consistent implementation of our strategy of being best-in-class in particularly promising growth markets, while encouraging and enabling close cooperation between all subsidiaries in the Retarus Group. A precise analysis of competitive advantages puts us in the position to grasp our opportunities, boosting growth and profitability in a sustainable manner“, says Sascha Wellershoff, CFO at the Retarus Group.
Wellershoff has been responsible for the Finance, Controlling, Procurement and Legal departments at Retarus for the past year and previously occupied leadership positions in various management functions at companies such as Telefónica Germany and the Allianz Group, as well as heading several private equity funds.
