Built for backcountry fanatics who put in more hours on foot than on the lift, this season’s assortment is led by the Purist Jacket and Pant, a duo made for the free touring athletes of the world. From the long traverse through to the fresh lines of unknown hills, this armour will be their best friend.

Alongside the Purist is the addition of an all new midlayer constructed with The North Face’s owned temperature management technology: VENTRIX™.

Purist Jacket & Pant
The technical GORE-TEX® 3L shell jacket & pant features innovative hybrid constructions designed to manage a wide range of output levels. Whether hiking, climbing or descending this kit delivers warmth and protection for any climate.

A reinforced ripstop material has been used throughout to provide the stretchiest hard shell in the industry, providing unmatched durability and range of motion. This subtle amount of stretch gives the added mobility of a soft shell, but with the trusted protection of a hard shell, the perfect ingredients for any free tour athlete.

The final piece is an industry leading ergonomic fit has been created by analyzing athletes’ riding stances, resulting in an entirely new fit that enhances the function-first design of the products. Advanced articulation from head to toe supports natural movement while riding and hiking so the rider can focus on one thing: the line.

VENTRIX™ Crew Midlayer
New for the season, The North Face brings its breakthrough outdoor-performance innovation into snowsports: VENTRIX™. Releasing excess heat during outdoor activity, the mid-layer technology features a dynamic system of micro vents that open and close with motion and exertion, regulating body temperature.

Add in an exceptional range of motion and any rider will have continuous comfort through the peaks and valleys of exertion while riding and hiking.

Layer System
Every piece is designed to integrate seamlessly together and with essential riding equipment. Reach-through pockets on outer layers provide access to interior pockets without having to open the front zip.

A multitude of strategically placed pockets are specifically designed to keep all of the essentials of big-mountain riding exactly where they belong without getting in the way of pack straps, waist belt or a harness belt. Additionally, the pockets on each layer are staggered from one another to eliminate stacking while externally bellowed pockets on the outer layers reduce bulk on the interior
