THIRTY TWO DAYS, HUNDREDS OF FALLS, ONE PERFECT WORLD.
Perfecto Mundo, Margalef, Spain. Extreme and beautiful in equal measure, this route represents the essence of sport climbing and offered Stefano Ghisolfi an opportunity to cement his place in history.
The North Face Athlete has sent his hardest problem to date, spending more than 30 days exploring, breaking down and finally sending the route. A nail biting and exhausting process that pushed Ghisolfi to his limits, both mentally and physically but eventually took him into an elite club of climbers who have conquered the exceptional grade of 9b+.
Ghisolfi believes it’s an achievement that wouldn’t be possible without the work and support of others. “I can finally join the 9b+ club of Adam Ondra, Chris Sharma and Alexander Megos. Without them it wouldn’t be possible to push this limit further to this level. I want to thank Chris Chris for bolting this beautiful (and hard) route, thanks Alex for climbing this route for the first time and made me realize it was possible, and obviously thanks to Sara Grippo, the best supporter who was with me in every condition imaginable.”
Completed last December, this rare achievement is now celebrated on film. Created in partnership with The North Face the full film is available to watch now.
